Designing the Gilded Age: Drawings from the Studios of Louis C. Tiffany opened at The Met October 22. Announced in July, the exhibition continues through February 7, 2027, in Galleries 691–693.

Nearly 120 works explore the drawings and collaborative studio practice behind Tiffany’s windows, lamps, mosaics and interiors. The presentation reconnects major stained-glass works with preparatory designs, including material loaned by the Chrysler Museum of Art. Newly conserved works help trace how plans became finished objects. For visitors interested in the visual craft behind spectacular interiors, the exhibition focuses on working processes as well as the familiar completed designs.
