The Third Eye brings together George Harrison’s photographs of the Beatles, curated by Olivia Harrison. Penguin’s UK edition was published October 8 and features more than two hundred photographs and film stills.
The collection covers 1963 to 1969, following the band’s travels and moments away from performance. Colm Tóibín contributes an introduction essay and George Saunders an afterword, alongside Olivia Harrison’s framing of the archive. For music readers, the publication offers a view of the Beatles through a band member’s own camera rather than a retrospective assembled solely from professional coverage. The official listing describes the edition and formats.
