A Ghostly Little Book collects newly written supernatural stories by Olga Ravn, Roddy Doyle, Eliza Clark, Tom Crewe and Helen Oyeyemi. Penguin’s UK edition was published October 1.
The five-author format offers a compact way to explore contemporary approaches to a long literary tradition. The publisher’s description identifies apparitions, unexpected encounters and uncanny technology among the collection’s devices. It is presented as a clothbound hardback as well as digital and audio editions. This seasonal publication notice reports the contributors and formats; an independent assessment of the stories would require a separate critical review.
