Parker McCollum has released Live from Sound City through MCA, revisiting fifteen songs from his catalog in acoustic form. Announced October 13, the collection emphasizes the vocals and writing by reducing the production around familiar material.
The release arrives during a period of expanded touring. McCollum’s fall plans include his first UK and Ireland visit as direct support for Cody Johnson, with venues including London’s O2, Manchester’s AO Arena, Glasgow’s OVO Hydro and Dublin’s 3Arena.
A separate December run reunites McCollum with Koe Wetzel for the Naughty or Nice tour in Texas. The announced six-date itinerary includes Houston, Corpus Christi, Round Rock and two Fort Worth appearances. The acoustic album gives fans a new way into the existing songs ahead of those shows, without presenting the performances as a new studio album of previously unreleased writing.
