Natalia Lacunza released “Flor de canela” on October 23, following her second studio album N2stal5ia. The new song developed around playing and composing with instruments, with its earliest ideas emerging while the musicians listened to Gilberto Gil, Elia y Elisabeth and Lucio Battisti.

The studio group includes Kora, Paula Felices, Sebastián Hernández of Zuaraz, and Xoan Domínguez and Manuel Blanco of Blanco Palamera. Miguel León mixed the track, with mastering by Brian Hernández.

The song centers on enjoyment, affection and the freedom to desire and feel desired. Its warmer band setting gives the new release a defined relationship to the creative process behind it. Lacunza continues taking her existing catalog to audiences in Latin America and Spain while this single adds new material after N2stal5ia.
