Jessie Marcella released “Aventurine” on October 2 through Mercury KX, with additional production credited to Bicep’s Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar. The Leeds-based producer and composer follows her 11:11 EP with a track inspired by the ocean.
The recording began after Marcella won the Music Producer Award at the 2022 Youth Music Awards. Bicep, ambassadors for the awards, joined her in the studio the following year as part of the prize, starting the work that became “Aventurine.”
The finished track takes its name from a crystal associated with opportunity and new beginnings. Its announcement describes a move toward more physical electronic production after her earlier releases. The song is now available as a standalone single, with the Bicep credit identifying a direct studio collaboration rather than a remix added after completion.
