Jasper Rees’s Michael Gambon: The Authorised Biography joined Penguin’s UK list on October 29. The book draws on the journalist’s interviews with Gambon and access to the actor’s personal archive.
According to the publisher, Rees also interviewed colleagues including Penelope Wilton and Brian Cox to build the account. The project considers a career spanning major theater roles and screen performances, including the Harry Potter films. Its authorised status and archive access distinguish the book’s stated research basis. The official publication page supplies the edition’s details; the date reported here refers specifically to the UK edition.
