Carter Faith released “Still the Sparrow Sings” on October 30 through Gatsby Records and MCA. She wrote and performed the song for Heartland, the Netflix movie that also marks her acting debut alongside Jessica Chastain.
The track is the second release from the film’s soundtrack, scheduled for November 13, the same day the movie premieres on Netflix. A performance video filmed at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe accompanies the single, connecting the soundtrack release to one of the city’s established songwriter rooms.
Faith is also touring behind Cherry Valley Forever, the expanded edition of her debut album. That release added five songs, including collaborations with Wyatt Flores and with Laci Kaye Booth and Baby Nova. The new soundtrack recording extends that busy period into film while giving listeners a standalone song ahead of the full soundtrack and streaming premiere.
