Kalsey Kulyk released her original holiday song “Christmas Cowboy” on October 23 through Universal Music Canada. The singer developed the idea from a title and chorus melody she had saved before taking it into a March writing session with friends.
The single arrives shortly before her Grand Ole Opry debut, scheduled for November 21. Lainey Wilson extended the invitation by video during Kulyk’s appearance with Patricia Conroy at the CCMA Legends Showcase. Kulyk and Wilson previously collaborated on the 2018 song “Dreamcatcher.”
“Christmas Cowboy” adds a seasonal release to a year that has also included “Your Side of the Bar,” “The Brave” and “Little Boy.” Those songs trace different sides of Kulyk’s writing, from heartbreak to family memories. The holiday single is available now, with the Nashville appearance serving as her next announced career milestone.
