Sumukhi Suresh’s first Netflix stand-up special, Hoemonal, began streaming October 14. The show reached the service after touring in India and internationally, including a run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Suresh’s material draws on her experiences of dating, singlehood, body image and social expectations around motherhood. Netflix’s announcement traces the show’s origins to writing she began in 2021. Its release adds an Indian performer’s personal stand-up perspective to the platform’s October comedy lineup. The official publicity materials identify the themes and touring history; this report does not treat that promotional description as an independent review.
