Javi Chapela released “Horas Bajas” on October 23, introducing his next project after the debut album Futuros Propósitos. The new single pairs an energetic pop-rock arrangement with writing about anxiety, uncertainty and the pressure to keep moving.
Chapela wrote the song with Jaime Piñeiro and Álvaro Rodríguez, who also handled production. Its central tension is the distance between an imagined version of oneself and the person confronting everyday reality.
The official announcement places the song after the March release of Futuros Propósitos and identifies it as the first step in a new phase. The writing examines difficult moments that do not always have an obvious cause, using the musical momentum to carry a more unsettled lyric. “Horas Bajas” is now available as the opening preview of that next project.
