Braden Lam released “Suzie’s Beach” on October 9 through Universal Music Canada. Written entirely by Lam, the single was produced by Josh Block and recorded live to tape at 64sound in Los Angeles earlier this year.

The song brings saxophone into Lam’s indie-folk setting and follows “Coquihalla,” his first new release after the 2025 debut album The Cloudmaker’s Cry. The official announcement describes the writing as an invitation to hold onto the present despite imperfect circumstances.

Lam’s fall schedule includes eight Atlantic Canadian support appearances on the Sheepdogs’ Out All Night tour and a November 13 performance during Nova Scotia Music Week in Truro. Those dates follow appearances at AMERICANAFEST and other industry showcases. The new recording continues a sequence of individual releases rather than announcing a second full-length album, leaving the single and the upcoming shows as the immediate focus.
